Process Engineer

To support the end-to-end engineering process in EPCC projects in the water and sewage industry. Responsible for designing and developing process systems for water and sewage treatment plants. This role will work closely with internal departments, consultants, clients, and vendors to ensure all process designs meet project specifications, regulatory compliance, and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Design
○ Participate in the inception, planning, conceptual and detailed process design of water and wastewater treatment facilities.
○ Perform process design calculations, reports, and technical drawings under the guidance of senior engineers.
○ Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), Process Control Philosophies and Mass Balance.
○ To participate (or to assist in managing consultants) in identifying, developing and preparing technical proposals, and conceptual and detailed designs.
○ To evaluate treatment process systems and products, confirm system and product capabilities; develop process requirements and specifications.
2. Project Technical Support
○ Perform design verification and validation to ensure design accuracy and process efficiency.
○ To provide support to project team and perform evaluation of equipment/systems.
○ To provide technical support in other departments
3. Design Control & System Validation
○ Perform design control and system validation to ensure systems meet required specifications, quality, and efficiency standards.
4. Technical Documentation Preparation
○ Prepare technical documents and propose solutions for project-related technical issues.
○ Participate in meetings, record minutes, and coordinate follow-up actions with the supervisor.
5. Communication, Presentation & Training
○ Prepare technical proposals, present solutions and provide training when required.
○ Liaise with clients, vendors, consultants, and internal teams to support project objectives.

Qualifications & Experience
● Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Process Engineering.
● 2-4 years of hands-on experience in designing water/wastewater treatment systems.
● Familiar with regulatory frameworks and submission requirements of DOE, IWK, JAS.
● Competent in using process design and calculation tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Hydraulics, AutoCAD for P&ID).
● Proficient in preparing technical documentation and authority submissions.
● Willing to learn, adapt, and grow within a project-based technical environment.
● Willing to travel to project sites when required.
● Able to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.

Skills & Attributes
